‘Don’t let your tongue cut your throat.’

I am a multidisciplinary (video, 3D sculptures, drawing, painting, calligraphy, graphic design, type design) artist from Iran, based in The Hague,NL.
My common ground within these different media is LANGUAGE & TYPOGRAPHY.

I don’t consider myself to be a typical graphic designer or type designer, calligrapher, or painter. I push the boundaries of each domain and explore its visual potential, focusing on letters as primary artistic components.

My interest in typography and language comes from my Persian background, which provides me with two sources of inspiration:
— First, the historical significance of calligraphy in the Islamic world because of the restrictions on other forms of art.
— Second, the significance of poetry and literature in daily spoken Farsi.

I aim to create a new visual language that builds a bridge between East and West. To achieve this, I experiment with various aspects of typography in Latin, Farsi, and Arabic, emphasizing the features of each script and language.
